Concealers...:::

Image
Concealers This is a product made to cover areas foundation was not able to cover, such as blemishes, dark rings around the eyes, scars, sun-burns and so on. When getting a concealer, be sure to get one that is a shade or two lighter than your foundation, but with the same undertone as your foundation. Click here to find out more about foundation. There are three basic forms in which concealers are made: Liquid       Usually packaged in a bottle, with a pump or a wand applicator, or in a tube so you can squeeze out. This form easily blends in, but it does not provide enough coverage to completely conceal blemishes. So you can use them if you don't have much to conceal. Stick Comes in a tube you can twist, much like a lipstick. It generally provides good coverage, however it is a bit more difficult to blend. When you try to blend it in you may need to apply some pressure, so this is not a good concealer for the delicate skin a...

Veiling...:::

Image
Using the veil is easy and very comfortable. There are several styles to suit the occasion: casual, professional or outing. Here are some easy steps to some styles, with great thanks to Nadia of rnadiasbrina.blogspot.com for her "peristyle" description. You can use an "Inner Hijab" which is a small khimar worn under a larger veil, this covers the head, neck and chest areas so they do not show if the veil should slip off. They come in various colors and you can use them creatively to achieve nice color combinations with different veils. Buy yours from Adonmu by calling/texting 08023630077, 07030976885 to place your order, or from kaymu.com and search for seller  "Adonmu". 1. Put on the inner hijab and drape your veil over it with one side shorter. 2. Wrap the short end under your chin, covering the neck area and pin it to the inner hijab behind your ear. 3. You can pin the longer end close to the 1st pin, this helps make it ...

Dandruff...:::

Image
Sebhorrea is a skin disease. It  is a type of skin eczema and can occur in any of the oil-producing parts of the body; the scalp, ears, face, chest and folds of the skin. When it is affecting the scalp then it is called Dandruff.  Dandruff looks like thick flaky scales that may not even be itchy sometimes. The actual cause of Dandruff  is unknown, however there is a certain yeast infection known to play a part in causing it. However,  Dandruff in itself  is not a yeast infection. Fighting Dandruff: To get rid of dandruff, you need to fight the inflammation on the scalp, either directly with hair products that contain a chemical called cortisone, or by reducing the amount of yeast building up on the scaly areas to add to the problem. So, if you have Dandruff issues you should keep these in mind: 1. Moisturinzing the area does not cure it, it only smothens out the scales, but makes the plaques look redder. 2. Shampoo does not cause Dandruff, how...

Foundation...:::

Image
Foundation is made to create an even skin tone, and to smoothen the texture of the skin to create a flawless finish. It can give a light, medium or full coverage, however for discoloration, blemishes, dark rings around the eyes, you may need to use a concealer before applying your foundation. Foundation also acts as a base for other makeup products you may use, like eyeshadow, lipstick, blusher and so on. In fact these products are not to be used on skin that has no foundation on! This is simply because using them on a 'naked skin' may make blemishes and other skin problems more conspicuous, and some of them do not last as long as they would have if you use them on foundation. So how do you choose your foundation? First of all you need and "exact match" and not a "close match", meaning that it should appear invisible. Apply about 3 shades and blend in, the correct one should disappear. Look at the image, which shade do you think fits this mo...

Powders...:::

Image
We definitely use powders, or have at least heard about them, but what are they really? They are usually made of minerals like mica, coloring agents and some binding agents. Powder is one of the basic makeup product we use on a daily basis, and sometimes we carry it around in our purses or bags. So why do we use Powders? To give us a matte finish,  making the face look 'fresh'. Powder can make the texture of the face appear finer since it makes the pores look smaller. To 'set' our foundation. To make our foundation last. Removes any sticky appearance created by a foundation or concealer. Makes applying eyeshadow and blusher easier as the skin is silky smooth. Things to Note when Wearing Powder Make sure that the powder you use does not change the color of your foundation. Thus if you use a foundation, do not choose a powder that contains too much color, especially pink. There are essentially 2 forms of powder: loose and pressed. There is al...

What Eyeglass to Wear...:::

Image
We wear glases for different reasons: some medical while others as an accessory. Whatever the reason, you need to protect your eyes from Ultra-Violet (UV) rays, so get glasses with "100% UV Protection". It's quite safe for babies to wear glasses as they also need to be protected from UV rays, but avoid shades that are too dark as they make the eyes dilate too much. A lot of glasses now come with coating against Reflections (Anti-Reflective), Scratch (Anti-Scratch) and Fogging (Anti-Fog), so you can also keep these in mind when purchasing your glasses. But, ever wonder why some glasses look good on some poeple and not on others? It's because we have different face-shapes. Click  here  to find out what Face Shape you have and then see the picture below to know what Glasses will fit your face.
