In March, you learned texture.
In April, you learned structure.
This month, you will learn how knitting can create design.

May introduces the yarn over — a simple movement that creates an intentional opening in the fabric. Paired with a decrease, it forms a decorative detail while keeping your stitch count balanced.

This is your first step into lace knitting.

Do not worry about perfection. Focus on the rhythm: create space, then restore balance.

Small techniques can create beautiful results.

• How to make a yarn over (YO)
• How to knit two stitches together (K2tog)
• How to maintain stitch count
• How decorative eyelets are formed
• How to follow a simple repeat confidently

• Medium weight (worsted) yarn
• 4 mm knitting needles
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
