I Am and I Will

10 million people die each year from cancer. More than one third of cancer cases can be prevented. Another third can be detected early and treated. Cancer has killed more people than HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.

Cancer is an unusual and uncontrolled growth that invades the body. It affects almost any part of the human body and ravages the cells. There are millions of people currently fighting cancer and many millions who have lost the battle. This month we honour them by reminding ourselves to live a much healthier life.

One of the best ways to prevent cancer is to adopt a healthy lifestyle: eat healthy foods that’s rich in fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of fluids, exercise and keep active, as well as avoiding bad habits like drinking alcohol, smoking and drug abuse.

While keeping healthy, don’t forget that what you apply on your skin also matters a great deal. A lot of mass-produced beauty products contain harsh chemicals that aren’t safe - read and know before you use.

Our hearts ♥️ go out to all those whose lives have been upturned by cancer, you are indeed a soldier worth a Grand Salute ❤️ Send us a message to add someone to our list of Survivors and Legends who have fought with any type of cancer. Visit our Instagram or Facebook pages to tell your story.

I am Africa’s Best and I Will Tell Africa’s Story
