This month introduces  stockinette stitch  — one of the most common and recognisable knitting textures. By working knit stitches on one side and purl stitches on the other, you will begin to see a smooth, even surface form. You may also notice your fabric trying to curl. This is a natural behaviour of stockinette stitch and part of understanding how knitted fabric works. Take your time. Observe your stitches.
